Hi! My name is Sarah. My pronouns are they/them. I’ve been practicing yoga and meditation regularly since 2019 and completed my year-long Community Practice Leader Training with Tony at Indy Community Yoga in May 2022. I also have over two decades of experience as an educator in public schools. I enjoy practicing with other people in nature.
Come as you are. Wear comfy clothes. Your experiences and body are both just right. Every Body Welcome!
Yoga 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.: Fun, challenging, and feel-good movement and breathing. A few mats are available for you to borrow, but please bring your own if you have one.
Meditation 10:35 – 11:15 a.m.: Our meditation practice is quiet, continually returning to ease in the body and ease in the breathing. There is nothing to achieve or attain. You are welcome to practice your Way as long as you help maintain a quiet practice space for the group. It’s ok to sit. It’s ok to lay down.
Mindful Dialogue, Active Listening, Sharing and Discussion 11:30 a.m. – noon: After a short break, we’ll practice either a paired or full group mindful listening and speaking exercise. Both are great practices that will improve every relationship in your life that involves communication. After our practice, we’ll have time for sharing. Share any questions and reflections and hear what others have to share. It’s ok to just listen, too.
Safety
If you have any symptoms of contagious illness (e.g. coughing, fever, runny nose, body aches, malaise, etc.), please stay home and recover. Thank you for caring for your health and the well-being of people attending practice.
I look forward to being in community with you!
Love, Sarah – sarah@indycommunityyoga.org
